In recognition of International Women’s Month, Kol Nashim will join with Fourteeners, the The Rocky Mountain Children’s Choir’s select women’s choir, and Impromptu, a community women’s choir founded with the goal of bringing women together through choral music, to present Sing out for SafeHouse!, a benefit concert on behalf of SafeHouse Denver, Inc.

SafeHouse serves victims of domestic violence and their children through both an emergency shelter and a non-residential Counseling and Advocacy Center. All of the adults, children and youth who come to SafeHouse Denver have access to a full range of bilingual programming, including individual counseling, group sessions, advocacy and safety planning.

When the singers take the stage on March 19, 2017, NINETY women, ages 13 to 80, will raise their voices in support of the challenges facing battered women and children.

The theme for the concert is empowerment of women, and all the musical selections will reflect that theme. The concert will feature the world premiere of a newly composed piece “Mother Earth“, by Denver composer Mercedes Campana, specifically commissioned for this concert.
See below for more information on Kol Nashim’s repertoire for the concert.
