Composer Workshop with Julie Geller

Denver native Julie Geller is saving the world one song at a time with original, uplifting music. She has been releasing a new song and music video every month since June of 2013.

Julie has sung in a number of choirs, spanning the range from classical to gospel to barbershop, and is thrilled by the opportunity to write a work for women’s voices, which will be premiered by Kol Nashim, the women’s choir of the Colorado Hebrew Chorale.

Having written most of the melody for this new piece, Julie is now searching for appropriate words that tie into the theme of women in Judaism. Her investigation includes poetry by Israeli women and Biblical portions that relate to women. Once she has chosen the words, she will put together the arrangement.
