If Not Now – When?

The Colorado Hebrew Chorale and Kol Nashim have launched a two-year project, “If Not Now – When?”, aimed at building understanding of issues connected with IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility), focusing in particular on the issue of religious inclusion and racial equity, both within our choirs, and between our choirs and partner organizations.

Our singers have been having internal conversation since the start of our season in fall of 2022, and the project will include four joint meeting between our choirs and the singers of Unity Project – Colorado Springs (UPCS)

The first joint meeting was on Sunday, February 26, 2023. 35 singers from three choirs came together for an afternoon of community building, challenging conversation, shared food and communal singing, facilitated by Dr. Dena Samuels

Future meetings are planned for:

Sunday, April 23, 2023 (in Colorado Springs)

Sunday, June 4, 2023 (in Denver)

Fall 2023 TBD

Spring 2024 – 2 joint concerts

Members of the community are invited to participate in this exciting program, conditional on also participating in the internal conversations of either

Kol Nashim or the Colorado Hebrew Chorale. Location and time given with registration.
